Kaoru Kamimura: was born and educated in Japan. He has specialized in Ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock prints in Toronto, Canada for more than 40 years. Over the last 30 years, Kaoru Kamimura has provided evaluations of Japanese prints and antiques for museums. He has also lectured on Japanese prints to general audiences including at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto.

The Society was founded in 1937 and now has some 800 members in 22 countries.
