Bronze Amida (Amitabha) Nyorai standing buddha.
Date: Kamakura period of 13th-14th century.
Height: 26 cm
(with a newly made stand: 29 cm)
Note: Attached two photos are from a book which illustrated a similar Amida-Nyorai bronze buddha (dated 1206, height 31.5 cm) with the same vertical-double-Uzu-hair style and is appointed as the "Important Art Object"(Juyo Bijutsu Hin) in Japan. The vertical double Uzu-hair style could be influenced by the buddha at Zenko-ji temple which is also from the same early 13th century.
Provenance: It is from a known and reputable dealer in Japan.
