Painting of the Aka Doji also known as Seitaka Doji on paper mounted as a hanging scroll.
(Seitaka Doji is one of the Eight Acolytes of Fudo Myoo)
Artist: Attributed to early age of Ryushu Shutaku (1307-1388), also known as Myotaku, he was a pupil of Muso Kokushi andi painted a number of Fudo Myoo and his attendants.
Date: Late Kamakura period (early 14th century-mid.14th century)
Re-Mounting is done recently (visible a numerous narrow strip of papers at verso to support the paper of painting) and some touch-up on the painting before re-mounting.

Size of hanging scroll: 51.5 cm X 179 cm
Note: Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Yorki has a scroll of similar size and design of Aka Doji (accession #1975.268.26) which outline were made by woodblock print around 1336- 1388 and hand-colored; from Harry G. C. Packard collection.
